Holding On

Most of the poppies are done, but these have been sheltering behind a clump of ferns. Both are the second flower for their respective plants. The pink has several buds in waiting, but the red has only one.

It is my son's birthday today. A bachelor with modest requirements, his idea of a treat is home-made pasta. And there are raspberries in the garden for him to feast on for afters.
