Into Mosedale from Pillar summit

A great day out to meet and greet contenders completing the Joss Naylor Lakeland Challenge. The route starts in Pooley Bridge, Ullswater and finishes at Greendale Bridge, Wasdale. Two of the successful contenders today were Jenny and Carol they climbed 30 summits crossing some 48 miles of mountain terrain and ascending nearly 17000 feet. At seventy years young Carol will be the most senior lady to complete the challenge to date whereas Jenny's a mere stripling of 65! We had the priviledge of joining the ladies for some of the route before heading down into Mosedale and back to Wasdale Head : )
