Remembered........

This is a monument to the 65 Glaswegians who died fighting Fascism in the Spanish Civil War 1936-39. There were 2,100 volunteers from Britain and of them 534 didn't return. This monument was erected some years ago beside the River Clyde in Glasgow, and I have always thought it a rather poignant memorial.

I was in Glasgow today having lunch with C. I had time before I met her and walked along the Clyde Walkway to the 'Squinty' Bridge. I took some nice photos of the bridge, but there was no reflection on the water today, so thought I would try some other time.

The river walkway was very busy, with cyclists, walkers, runners, and some scullers in the water. It was very pleasant as it was hot and sunny.
