Flower Festival

Our village celebrates 700 years this year and over the summer months various activities and events are going on around the village. This weekend the Church is holding its flower festival, so of course we popped up there to show our support and to see our sponsored arrangement! The ladies of the village have done an incredible job and the flowers look beautiful. They have created displays for all four seasons and have also created displays to show, weddings, funerals and all the Christian celebrations over the year. Our display that we sponsored was lovely but I didn’t really like it, so I have not blipped it! Instead you have the bike, which I personally thought was lovely and put together beautifully.
There were lots of people there from the village supporting the day; even non church people like Chris and I. The Vicar was also present, but I do find him rather aloof! Even though we don’t go to Church, I do kind of feel he should say hello to all visitors, after all we are supporting the Church by donating to its upkeep!
Anyway, the sun is shining and Chris is feeling a little brighter today. We have a few bits that we want to get rid of from our garage loft, so we are going to get that done and then perhaps have a lounge in the garden and light the BBQ!

Tomorrow sees us head off to the East Coast to see my parents for Father’s Day.
