Getting in the Mood

I imagine there are many amongst you, and I can think of a handful of my own subscribers, who will imagine they have died and gone to heaven now that the World Cup is under way in Brazil.
Three weeks of wall to wall football coverage is enough to make me feel that I have died and gone to the other destination.

I am of course supporting England, not being party to the attitude of 'any country other than England', but only hope that should they win, I can thole the resulting euphoria and self congratulation which will swamp every type of British media coverage for months to come regardless of the sensitivities of the other countries comprising this island.

It is raining yet again, and I wonder which part of the country is destined for the extra hot sizzling summer forecast.
It's not happening here and mid summer is only a week away.
Last night we had a duck and his wife strolling in front of the house at least a mile from any open stretch of water but within easy access of large puddles resulting from the downpours at the weekend.
