Petrified!

This was a wonderful "water garden" adorned with hundreds of wild flowers cultivated into sculptures and artistic designs. The water is so full of calcium and magnesium that objects, moss, leaves, and flowers can be petrified into amazing crystallised form in just two to three months. We went through the caves where the process was taking place. The various sculptures and animated water features had a distinct Japanese influence.
Back to McD today at Tournon on the Rhone among the vines and fruit growers. A "spend" might be in order on the way back!
