A Day of Mixed Emotions
11.01.10
Today #1 son reached the age of 20. He had a gastronomic birthday - The Full Breakfast, Japanese for lunch and Italian for dinner. He had been talking during last week about how quickly the teenage years have passed. This photograph is of the retro lights in the Italian restaurant.
Today one of our close friends passed away peacefully, and has gone to a far better place. He has been like a third grandfather to our boys, and a wonderful support to us as parents, encouraging, baby/boy sitting and just being there. As one of my friends said tonight - "a faithful saint, who enriched the lives of so many". He also followed my journal on Blipfoto, and encouraged me to keep on going with my photography.
So, 11 January now has double significance for us.
I am too tired and sad to comment tonight - I'll catch up with you all soon.
Psalm 121: 5-8
The Lord watches over you -
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will keep you from all harm -
he will watch over your life;
the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.
