Drive Time....

....took the car to work for the first time in years today. Felt odd getting dressed this morning and putting on a a shirt and suit instead of cycling shorts and a T. I usually get dressed into my smart togs at work after a shower (or at least a wash of the pits). I could pretend I had a good reason for taking the car, but I didn't....I simply wanted to listen to Simon Mayo's debut on the drivetime slot on Radio 2 and hear the Amy MacDonald live set, and taking the car was the easiest way to achieve my aim.

I'm not a huge fan of Mayo (he does have silly hair after all), but he injected a more laid back vibe than the outgoing Evans (not hard) and his play list is an improvement. Amy, however, was great. Her cover of A Town Called Malice was superb. Uk based peeps can see it here. I think I'll try to get tickets for her next Scottish gigs to affirm my liking for this quirky young lady.

Work was good again today......it can't last I tell you.
