Old Quarry Road

Several years ago I pictured this scene at the top of the quarry road covered in in snow with golden sunlight filtering through the trees. I still have the picture famed on my wall. Today the scene was very different - very green and lacking in light with only some rhododendrons giving slight variation.The gate in itself is a rather rusty old structure but it shows up well in pictures!
Shortly after this was taken I was forced to shelter from a downpour and caught sight of what I think was one of the peregrine falcons which nest on the Murrayshall Quarry cliffs.
