Old Graveyard, Kilmadock

I think today was the first time we had walked from Doune along the banks of the Teith to the old graveyard and church at Kilmadock in fine weather. Usually it is dull and dismal, the river is in spate and the underfoot conditions are soggy.
It was good therefore to wander in the graveyard in warmth and under blue skies. The graveyard has a fascinating collection of tombstones of different shapes and sizes, many leaning at awkward angles. Much of the history of the parish could probably be worked out from the names on the stones.
