congee..

..an Asian rice porridge which (and I may get booooooed down for this) is somewhat risotto like in constituency.
Creamy and slightly salty, topped with all sorts of extras and drizzled with a dipping sauce containing garlic, ginger, vinegar, brown sugar and fish sauce.
Traditionally a breakfast dish but hey absolutely yummy morning, noon or night.

This a rather posh duck congee T cooked last night and there were extras for lunch today.
Mmmmmmmm.
