GOOD DEED FOR THE DAY
This little honeybee was nearly drowning in a bird bath when my daughter noticed and scooped it out with a piece of wood chip from the garden. Lucky for me, I had a time for several shots while it was slowly recuperating. In this shot, you can see it has bent down one of its antennae to wipe dry, as it had done with each of its legs, etc. When it was completely dried off and had its strength back, it flew away.
I’m visiting my daughter & son-in-law for a couple days in northern Michigan. It is absolutely ‘Blip Heaven’ here, loaded with all kinds of birds and insects and flowers.
