The morning after
Some of us woke at around 320am to a brilliant but sleep depriving morning chorus, it was amazing and we did manage to drift off a bit here and there till somewhere between 5 and 6am. And, oh what joy, the sun was shining. So we had a very early bbq and plenty of coffee, then a campfire with the wood we'd brought. The kids had a friend to play with who was camping too, so all was well. The packing up went smoothly, and we were just about to put the last few things into the car when the heavens opened again. Bang. There you go. Damp and muddy for the journey home. But we will be definitely be doing it all again. But we'll be paying more attention to the forecast next time...
