Sunrise in the Azores

This is a view of the dormant volcano that contains the Lagoa do Fogo (lake of fire) that you get from Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Azores. This blip was taken at around 6:30am this morning just as the sun was rising.

I visited Lagoa do Fogo yesterday (see blip for 7th June), but today all I had time for was a few early snaps before heading to the airport and the flight to Lisbon and eventually back home to Scotland.
