Still here
Still in my very palatial isolation ward, staff excellent, food ok and I am beginning to feel better. Thank goodness for WiFi and thank goodness for my Kindle.......I do have my own TV but daytime TV is the pits!!
It transpires I have c-diff!! I am one of the great unclean. Everyone that visits must wear gloves and an apron which must be disposed of in the little anti room between me and the rest of the ward. I had to be wheeled down to xray, not allowed to walk, the xray room is a special one for any 'unclean' that need an xray!! I am impressed with the level of of care not to spread this awful bug.
I am on some powerful antibiotics, I have been visited by my Oncologist, Michelle (the wonderful chemo nurse), Dr (can't remember his name but he's great), pharmacist and all this may lead to a delay in my next treatment and an adjustment in the regime plus different drugs for after the next treatment.
My head is in a whirl and my body feels like it's been used as a punch bag.........and today the gift of chemo has given me............ hair is falling out in handfuls.
Our fab friends Steve and Sarah visited tonight and brought lovely gifts to make me smile........and chocolate.
My most excellent man Matthew continues to be.......EXCELLENT
My friends and family continue to be so supportive with text, calls and emails to keep my pecker up
Sunset from my window, not bad hey!!
