Busy Saturday

It was a fairly early start for us today. Instead of a relaxed morning followed by Ethan's gymnastics class, we instead headed over to Killearn where I was running in a 10k race. It was a trail route which I'm not used to and I was surprised at how tough it was. Thankfully I completed it though although it's not going to be a great time!

We then went to Inchmahome Abbey. It's on an island and Ethan was really excited when he realised we'd be going on a little boat to get to it! Once over there, it soon started pelting with rain, but it didn't stop us hunting for the time capsule which they've hidden on the island and looking for wooden squirrels they have put in the trees.

After that, we went to see the in-laws in Doune, stopping off at Kilmahog on the way to buy a ghillie shirt and kilt for Ethan, for him to wear at a wedding we're going to in the States in September.

Late home for him tonight yet he still doesn't want to go to sleep! 9.45pm and he's still wide awake - grrrrrr!
