Wellington Architecutre
Modern and overlooking the harbour, some new apartments round by the marina. I quite liked the lines against the blue sky.
Had another awesome family day, the sky was as blue as this all day. We started with a walk round the waterfront, everyone was out today, little kids on scooters and trikes, big kids on roller skates, families on Croc Bikes, Cyclists, joggers, dog walkers and plenty of walkers - I tell you a series on transport just round the water front would be most interesting. We walked to Oriental Bay and lapped up the sun while watching some fishing and others enjoying the beach.
Our tummies grumbled so headed back into the city for a lovely lunch at Prefab and pondered on what we would do for the rest of the day. Daughter E suggested getting out of the city so Daughter A said 'let's get the bus to Lyall Bay', which was great. Again plenty of people out and about, surfers in the sea while families with young ones built sandcastles, we had afternoon tea at the Maranui Café which is in the Maranui Life Saving Club and is very popular, queuing is expected.
Again we pondered on what to do next and both girls wanted to see a movie, we haven't done a movie as a family for years. Back into the city we went and saw X Men which went down well with all of us. Afterwards we found a wonderful Mexican place for tea - lots of character with good food, the place is Pan de Muerto on Tory Street.
What an awesome day! I never tire of being in Wellington, so much to do and see and quite different to the small town we live in.
Happy Saturday blippers :)
