Thistle Down

A Brother

O...to have a brother,
One to call...my own.
One that is blood-relation,
And some day...will be grown.

One that's real...and loving,
And has a heart sincere.
Who helps me in my struggles,
By being kind and dear.

One who keeps a special joke,
To help me on my way.
Who scatters a path of sunshine,
To brighten up my day.

One who explains the reason,
That I should get my rest.
That by achieving I should be,
Among the very best.

O...I would be so happy,
More so than any other.
If God would send one unto me,
And I could call him brother.
