Kids Are Not just for Christmas
Daughter#1, Granddaughter Lucy and I left Edinburgh in a snow blizzard and arrived in Glasgow in the sun. 1-0 to the west!
We were meeting Glasgow daughter and Nina for a social get together. We made for Princes Square for coffee/lunch where Nina after an injection of calories showed us her amazing capacity for energy output and sociability. I predict that she will be a party animal in later life, quite unlike this grandmother but possibly like the other one.
We then did a little shopping. High on my list was a pair of fleecy pyjamas. There can be nothing more ageing than investing in warmth rather than sexyness. Fleecy pyjamas have no come hither appeal, but needs must when the nights are -10 degrees. I bet the Laplanders don't invest in negligees in the winter.
Then it was back to Edinburgh on a cold train and arriving in a colder capital, but through an amazing landscape of white fields and beautiful frosty trees with a beautiful red setting sun somewhere about Linlithgow.
Arriving home, his Lordship had a lovely dinner waiting - veggie haggis with carrots and roast potatoes. That means he has accumulated quite a few brownie points!
The blip today is Nina trying to sell herself in a shop in Princes Square. There were no offers.
