Mums & Daughters

I was given this ornament by my brother in law, it was a birthday gift a few years ago. It makes me think about my mum and myself, and also me and my daughter.

To say there is something special about having a daughter is a definate understement. It's without a doubt one of the two most incredible things I have done and ever could do.

She came along as a complete surprise at, what others might see as, a difficult time. I was young, hubbie was young, my family were going through a tense situation. Cait came along and changed it all. I'm not meaning to brag when I say it was easy - it just was. We just fitted together, from the very beginning. She's all the things a mum would want her daughter to be, I wish I could make her understand what she means to me but she'll only truely understand when she's cradling her own daughter.
