Southend on Sea

Today is Southend on Sea, for the Christenings Project, with 80 clergy (well, I think there are 2 of us not ordained). Upon arrival I was told I had been upgraded to a sea view room, hence the lovely pic from my window. We're looking at research with 1000 couples who have brought their child for baptism, asking why? What was good? What was not so good? What could be better? And a whole lot more. Currently, 1 in 6 children are baptised in this country (that's just CofE baptism), so it's a big opportunity, with big numbers.
