This is not the Science Museum....
Thomas has finished his exams and essentially has finished school for the year apart from some fun activities which take place from now until the end of term - although they have not started yet. So today I decided to take him out of school to visit the Science Museum in London which would be more interesting than twiddling his thumbs at school - with his teacher's blessing, I may add, we didn't just skive off.
We had a fantastic day at the Science Museum. Although we have been a few times before we have not been for a few years and this time as an older boy he was able to appreciate the more interesting stuff like gene therapy and the interactive consoles with quizzes like 'Should men get pregnant in the future?'. We also saw the Imax movie of Under the Sea which was absolutely amazing, with sea creatures swimming right as us and the cutest Australian sea lions playing in front of our eyes that you wanted to reach out and touch them.
I took many photos and when I got home, by mistake I inserted the card into the wrong slot and it disappeared into the cavernous world of the inside of my computer! So no photos of these amazing exhibits at the Science Museum - instead I ran drove down to the river as the light was so lovely after all that rain this morning and took some photos. It was well timed as now it is thundering and a storm is about to break, and that lovely sunshine has disappeared once more.
