Raindrops

Despite an uncertain weather forecast, with four friends, today I completed a long-planned walk through Manchester, from the Etihad Campus to Media City. Joining us for the first time on the walk were Eptas and Bruce, seen here inspecting the graffiti street art along the Bridgewater Canal. He (Bruce) behaved very well, at one point seeing off a much larger dog with some convincing barks. He also allowed himself to be smuggled into somewhere he should not have been.

We managed to avoid rain for most of the day. The day was still good for some good reflections a few of which featured water.

Today's walk was the second in a collection of urban walks I am designing and testing. The plan is to place them on a jolly clever website thingy, a "beta" version of which may appear later in the year. The directions include descriptions of the key "sights" along the way, many of which do not feature in most guidebooks, as well as a few anecdotes and bits of personal opinion. If anyone would like to receive a copy of the directions for today's walk, of c7.5 miles, or the one in Liverpool I wrote and tested earlier in the year, which covered c 5.5 miles, please email me on ellisroger543@gmail.com. I will email copies to any blippers who ask for one or both and in return would simply welcome views, comments and suggestions. Fulsome, oleaginous praise would also be welcome.
