Snapshots of rural France

Place du Minage, Angoulême

An appointment in Angoulême today meant I could take my little camera into the small old central streets again, I parked on this square and had to use my phone gps to find where I needed to be, and then used it to get back to my car again. I am slowly getting to know le vieux quartier, but it is quite a maze of narrow cobbled streets and tall buildings!

My friend and old colleague Mike dropped over after he finished work in the middle of the afternoon (lightweight!) and he brought cake! (what a good man). After what seems so long out of touch with familiar folk it was really nice to see him.

Hope you all had a good Tuesday
