Malaysian Collard Kingfisher

It's absolutely poured all day here in Langkawi (after all it is the rainy season) but it's still 30 degrees.

I've struggled with keeping the camera dry but, with a protective cover on the camera, I stood on the beach watching the kingfishers. They appear to be extremely shy birds and proved to be extremely elusive so this capture is the best I could come up with today.

We're hoping for a slightly drier day tomorrow for more wildlife pictures or maybe a sunset .... keeping our fingers crossed.
