Standing in the Door of the Pink Flamingo..

Something odd is happening in our wee town.

Typically just before the panel for the "Britain in Bloom" come round the council roll out 6 flower boxes and sit them, two at each of the three entrances to the town, beside the "standing stones" which have appeared over the last couple of years.

This year... some buggar has been out painting the flower boxes, hanging baskets, and bins in the town. They are all "Blue", very, very blue. Someone said it is the blue from the town's coat of arms. That was the same blue as my primary school blazer - and it wasn't this colour

Then tonight; bunting, bunting everywhere. It's not even just little triangle bunting - it's rows and rows of world flags. There is about 2 miles (at least) of bunting strapped round the lamp posts, not dangling, but stretched, and where it's possible - zig zagging across the road.

And I haven't got a clue why.
