Leo

The Lion seen on top of this building has been the basis for many local legends and today the third lion to occupy this site stands watching over St George's Square Huddersfield.

The original 123 years old lion of Lion Chambers, removed in January 1977, served as a model for the fibreglass replacement now installed on the building.

"Leo" the lion is said to get down from the building and walk around St George's Square when the station clock strikes twelve - but the clock doesn't strike.
