Jasmine..
... growing in my garden!
I was ecstatic to see this plant growing and healthy and proof that neglect can be all a plant needs!
This jasmine must be very hardy. I bought it four years ago and for two years it grew nicely up the wall. Then the snow and frost in the winter of 2012-2013 'burnt' the leaves brown and all I had left were a mass of brown dead looking twigs with a few green fronds (a tiny fraction of the original growth) which I just left...
Then it completely dried out last summer, looking even more dead.
I decided about March to get rid of it but...I thought I saw what were some potential growths... I cut out all the dead wood - which left it a stump. Then I left it. (You will note that I can only do gardening sporadically in micro sessions)
Last month I saw lots of green wavy fronds growing up the wall again with red buds!
Several weeks on it looks good enough to blip!
Dull day. Nothing else interesting to report...
