Old Gaffers Festival

Today was the final day of one of the most popular marine events of the year,the Old Gaffers Festival at Yarmouth.

Dozens of these wonderful old craft gather for three days of festival fun with the small town transformed with market stalls displays and street entertainers.

Sadly the total lack of wind meant that the planned races were in slow motion with the yachts mostly just drifting on the tide.

The harbour is a mass of colour with each vessel decorated with colourful flags with the party atmosphere lasting well into the early hours.
