Tri hard

Well one thing's for sure - my baby is going to be born this month. What a weird sentence to write! Having embraced the fact it's going to be in there a while longer, we're enjoying the last few days / weeks of freedom time together. And today the gods sent a beautiful sunny day.

After a good night's sleep (when was the last time I said that!) we had a chilled morning then headed to watch the nearby half ironman triathlon a friend was doing. Once again I was inspired by people of all ages, shapes and sizes pushing their bodies to the limit but am 100% sure the tri is not for me - the fella has other ideas though and is already looking into how he can improve his swimming as he's already fairly good at the biking and running bits. Who knows next year we may be down cheering him on. Saw our friend 3 times during the run and I think she appreciated our support. Managed to fit in a decent walk myself too - it's getting harder but determined to keep active. The ice cream helped too!

Back home for a chill out in the garden, a little snooze then BBQ burgers and strawberries and cream.

I don't think the rest of June is going to be as chilled as today. But bring it on.
