It's just so very wrong!

I went to Lidl on my way home and they had a range of Brazilian-themed snacks on display in homage to upcoming World Cup. They had flavours I had never heard of so I bought a couple in the spirit of always being up for trying new things. I opened the first pack later on: “Spicy Cobana” flavour. I looked inside and sniffed. They smelt weird. They smelt sweet. And they were a sort of pale green colour. I didn’t really want to taste them. I looked on the back of the packet to see if there was anything on the GB language section (pity I hadn’t thought of that whilst in the shop) and this photo shows what I found! Yuck! And weird! I tried a cursory tiny nibble. They were truly vile. The worst crisps I have ever tasted. Worse than the Christmas pudding crisps that Tesco were selling a couple of years ago, worse than the strawberry wotsit-like snacks they sold for a short while in the 70's (that had a sort of waxy coating). Crisps should be savoury. Sweet crisps are so very wrong.

I looked at the other packet I had bought. “Caipirinhas” flavour. I looked on the back to see what it was but that one had no English translation. I opened the packet and smelt it. It smelt the same as the Cobanas. They were pale green too. Then something came into my mind – was Caipirinhas not a cocktail? I Googled it. Yes it was – a sugar and lime based one. Those crisps got turfed out without even so much as a mouse sized nibble!
