Have a nice day (with no halloumi)
Not quite the blip I had imagined for today but then today didn’t turn out as intended. We had planned to go walking in the East Neuk of Fife today, after having breakfast at Al's, but it was too good a breakfast and too gorgeous a day to want to leave his 'outdoor living space'. We sat there for six hours and ended up getting sunburnt (not good I know and I am writing this whilst slathered in after sun). Whilst there I decided I wanted halloumi for dinner and popped into the Cupar Tesco on my way home. They had none left which seems to be fairly typical of every experience I have of this shop. They never have the stuff I want which is why I have dubbed it “The worst Tesco in the world”. So, no halloumi but a giant section devoted to “American Groceries”. Apologies for the quality of the photo but I was in a hurry to take it as these shelves were very popular and had folks dawdling in front of them for ages – I had to grab my chance when I could. Many years ago I had a friend who was travelling to the States and he asked if there was anything I wanted him to bring back for me. I had read about Twinkie bars somewhere and was curious as to what they tasted like so I requested one of those. Ugh – they were not for me at all! Tasted very synthetic!
