Open Garden visit Bisham Abbey

Went to visit a group of 3 gardens today at Bisham Abbey, near Marlow. (Thames Valley Air Ambulance fund raising)

The gardens themselves were lacking something fairly important..... plants! Bisham Abbey however is lovely and situated on the Thames. Plenty of lawn and trees but no planting as such. Teas and fabulous cake were available, so well worth going for that alone. Lots of people with sunhats on today enjoying watching the boats go by on the river, as they enjoy their refreshments. I wonder what the average age is of people who do open garden visits? I always feel about 30 years too young!

I am organising a BLIPMEET near Henley on 11th or 13th July if anyone is interested. Take a look at the forum
