Anemone Leveillii
Whilst plant shopping for a customer yesterday, I spotted some beautiful Anemonies which I had not seen before. I love the late season Anemonies and also the tiny Anemone Blanda in spring, but had not ever seen this one before. The flowers float over the foliage at about 60cm. Isnt it gorgeous!
My very clever Chelsea winning plant supplier Fiona, (see yesterday) had bought it in to the nursery as new stock. So this came home with ME, not for my customer! I wanted to show you the front and the back at the same time, and finally managed to capture this. The unusual thing about this white Anemone Leveillii is that is has a beautiful blue colour in its sepals, and also on the reverse. One to watch out for if you are a keen gardener. (I expect you will all comment now to say you have had this for years!_
