The Empty Wheelchair, The Friars, Aylesford

Day 151 of 365. The Friars is the Catholic monastery in our village and a place where many people come to pray and seek comfort. It is a very tranquil place and radiates calm and peacefulness. I'm not very religious but quite often I find myself up there lighting a candle for my late mum in one of the quiet, simple chapels - somehow it feels right to pay respect in that way. It is also beautiful in a subtle way that warms your heart and soothes you.
