Never in my wildest dreams....

I never thought I would ever get to NYC and yet I did.

The journey wasn't terrible although I got all the timings wrong - nothing new there from me!. It was 7 hours not 6 hours on the plane and I am not good at sitting still and waiting.
I was so excited when we came out of the airport and as it was nearly 27 degrees I stripped off into a vest top. Glorious sun shine and warm weather.

We headed to the hotel and left the bags and went straight out. I stood for ages in Times Square simply soaking up the vibes. We then headed off to the Rockefeller Plaza and had a guided tour of all the local buildings. Brilliant.
I went byt he Magnolia Bakery from the Sex and the City series - bonus!

We climbed to the 'Top of the Rock' (Rockefeller Tower) to see the sights. This picture shows the Empire State building to the left and the new World Trade Tower in the distance. The Statue of Liberty is to the right of that.
It was boiling hot up there and I could have stood looking for hours and hours.

I was dragged down in the end as food was needed. We ended up with room service!!! I was too tired to be bothered to eat much. Too excited for the days ahead!!
