Tecoma Arbor

Today we visited the Belair Park on assignment. Paladian and I have been asked to make a photographic record of all the historic trees and buildings are various special areas throughout the park. Being that it was dull and overcast, the light was very flat and even. Good for avoiding shadows.

I chose for my blip this old picnic pavilion showing the new BBQ version in the background. This original Tecoma Arbor was built in the late 1920s and is used for shade during summer, or when people want to eat inside when they bring their own picnic table to the park.

It will take a bit of research to find out the significance of the word "Tecoma".
