A Fab Day

What a great day I've had. It started first thing with my usual lake swim, which was wonderfully refreshing and the sun was shining. Loved it.

Came home, put second wetsuit on and went in the river to finally rescue the boat. Maisie came in the river with me. She was so sweet as she took the rope in her mouth and helped me pull the boat back to the neighbours.

I then took myself to London to watch the triathlon. It was amazing. I just loved the buzz of it all....such a great atmosphere. I was really lucky to find a spot where I could see everything apart from the start of the swim. I could see the the last part of the swim and where they exited and was near enough to see the transition stage. It's all very new to me and I found it fascinating.

I was very lucky to be standing next to a lovely couple who are very much into triathlons. They both do the ironman. They explained things so well to me. I now understand it all so much more. I would really like to go back again tomorrow and watch the other competitions. I'm hooked.

I think this is a great shot of the top men's triathletes....it's a shame that our Brownlee boys didn't get in the top three...but it was an exciting finish.

Came home, had a quick change and was out again with friends for dinner. We went to a restaurant I haven't been to before. The food was so good....I'll definitely will go back again.
