"Be prepared to be Amazed"
This is how the poster on the windows of the Festival Theatre describes the show Stomp which is coming to the venue on the 12th January.
I might not be prepared to be amazed by Stomp. but I was amazed at the interesting reflections of the houses opposite the theatre.
This was a day totally devoted to chat. This being one of the few perks of being retired and of a certain age.
His Lordship is quick to point out, that had I been a Inuit lady living a little while back, I would have been a candidate for the ice floe treatment where the lady was put on the ice floe and pushed out to sea seeing as she was no longer any use for chewing sealskin to a softer texture as she had no teeth left. However I am not an Inuit and have all my teeth and can therefore be a lady who chats.
This morning it was lovely to have Liz, a fellow cyclist, round to the castle for a blether.
The time went very quickly and before I knew it it was time to try and better blip these window reflections again. I had tried first thing in the morning but it was a bit early for the sun to provide good reflections and I found this afternoon it was too late. So I've gone with the early ones.
However my perambulations allowed me to pop in to my long-time-returned-from-Greece , long- time -recovered- from- swine -flu friend and have a coffee and chat with her before heading for the local school in order to collect Grandaughter Lucy.
My final chat was with daughter#1 who came to collect Lucy. This Lucy is known as "your Lucy" as opposed to "my Lucy"....... granddaughter and daughter..... a bit complicated!...
The only person I haven't chatted to today is His Lordship who has kept his own counsel after having to dig out the car this morning with the aid of a spade and sand. Seems it wasn't a great start to his day, But I expect to have an audience with him soon!
All in all I'm totally chatted out and will curl up in silence after the audience with his Lordship and read.
