The Kings Men
The morning was dominated by the trip to the hospital with Flick.
As expected, we had a long wait; wondering whether they had forgotten about us as we watched people who arrived after us go through the magic door.
Once we were called, the temporary plaster was taken off and we were sent to queue for x-ray. Flick was brave throughout despite the prospect of having her broken wrist mauled by an expert.
As it turned out, all was well - there was no displacement of any bones, and although it was a serious injury, a full cast would sort it.
We left just after one o'clock and abandoned all plans of going to the seaside. Instead we went to the Cotswolds.
Our best blippertunity turned out to be the Rollright Stones in Oxfordshire - a magical place that contains a stone circle of originally 105 stones (now about 70), the Kings stone (across the road in Warwickshire) and a group of 4 stones called the Whispering Knights, which are off in the distance.
It is a fact that these aren't megalithic stones at all. They are a group of an ancient King's men who were turned into stone by a witch. Occasionaly they move around so that any two people counting them will never get the same number.
