This statue was drawing crowds by the War Memorial on Seaham seafront, so I assume it was newly unveiled. It's by this artist.

A lovely outing, with kittiwakes and a seal in the harbour, and then purple orchids on a landscaped walk at a nearby park. It was all going so well until I came home...
