Busy Buzzy

Most of the flowers in Princes Street Gardens flower beds are not in flower at the moment, although I did see some of the roses are, the other exception are these blue flowers and the bees were busy gathering nectar. Very difficult to photograph them as each individual flower is pretty small and the bees rarely settle but spend only a second or so at each one before flying on to the next.

I had to use a wide(ish) angled lens to try and one in frame (I cropped this shot to get it central) so the photo isn't as sharp or as detailed as I would have liked but you can clearly see the pollen sack on it's rear leg and it's "tongue" sucking up nectar from the flower.

View it large.
