The Meadows

Of course, you struggle to get one decent photo to Blip and then the next day you have so many to choose from.

It was a lovely sunny day and we had tickets to go to Barney's Brewery. It's a small micro-brewery in Edinburgh, before the Brewery visit we had beer and burgers The Reverie (worth a visit). To be honest, there wasn't much to see in the actual brewery, it is actually just one room filled with large tanks but it was interesting to here from "Barney" about the history of the brewery and how he makes his beers (of course the samples of beers were good too :-) The Brewery is actually on the same site as a brewery that was working in the 1800's and part of Summerhall which was the former Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh and now "a creative hub for the arts with studio and workshop spaces" and Fringe venue. The bar is decorated with veterinary items, there are an array of animal skulls on the wall, one of the tables looked like a small operating table and the actual bar had a glass top with weird looking slide things under it.

On my way to The Reverie I wandered through the Meadows, so I had an abundance of photos to choose from, I ended up choosing this image...
