Game of two halves
Hang on - wrong game! But definitely a day of 2 halves.
This morning was really down, fed up and teary - saw the midwife and all is fine but the baby isn't engaged at all. Didn't do my impatience good plus as it's still high, it continues to use my ribs like a xylophone which bloomin hurts. Had a little cry, phoned the fella and my mum, messaged some friends, had a quick look about engagement on the internet then decided to stop feeling sorry for myself. Apparently just because it's not engaged doesn't mean it will be ages - just hope the reason it hasn't dropped is cos it's big. I think it's more cos I have awesome stomach muscles (ahem!!)
Met mum and dad for cake and a tea in John Lewis which was lovely - they are so lovely and supportive. Then the fella and I went to the twenty 20 cricket - got some free tickets from parkrun last week and we decided to walk along and do something different. And I quite enjoyed it especially towards the end as the Outlaws came within 3 runs of winning and it got quite tense. Walk home via McDonalds. All in all a lovely second half of the day.
And have booked in manipedi tomorrow along with more cake with a friend and made some plans for next week too - lunch, more cake and more pampering. Who knows if I'll be able to do it all but better to be busy than sit around moping.
O and 4 Everton players played for England tonight - god knows when the last time that that happened was. Perhaps as long ago as 86. Which reminds me got a couple of pointless answers in the final round of Pointless today - mainly as they were Everton footballers from 86!
