Ghost

17.7C with long sunny spells. Light breeze.

Apothecary7's day off. For a change we went to Broughty Ferry. We had a look in a few charity shops and had a coffee stop before going back to the car for Maeve the Deerhound. We then had a walk along by the harbour and along the shore and round town. As we wandered along I saw these numbers and rather liked the ghost of a previous rendering visible behind.

The footpath/pavement works continued today. The men turned up at 8am. Our next door neighbour got her car out pronto and set off for work. We went out to move my car only to find a large machine already across the end of the drive ready to start removing tarmac. Apothecary7 asked if we could get the car out and one of the men said not to worry, they were just taking the surface off then we could get the car out without any bother. When we were ready to head off for the morning, sure enough I was able to drive away without any issues. It was different to leave the drive into the dip of the unsurfaced pavement and bump over the kerb onto the road but it was easy enough.

Fortunately when we returned home the pavement in front of our drive had been resurfaced. The only real issue today was the volume of the music the workmen played at lunchtime from their portacabin/trailer. It would have done T in the Park proud. As they move along the street to disrupt other people's lives perhaps the awful local radio filled musical lunch breaks will recede blissfully into the distance !
