Doorway
Old manali again...
So another day of the lurgy...the feeling of being kicked by steel toecapped boots has been replaced by sandals and managed two small wanders and some food. And simmering frustrations.
But on the hill for a nonexistent sunset, looking around at the sheer scale of the beauty of this place: it seems that, for me, it's the deodars which lend a sense of perspective to the scene, they're huge trees,(there's a lovely one in the botanics in Edinburgh), but in this place they look tiny. And always the snow clad slopes rising above and beyond...
And, as ever, I'm dragged towards aspects other...am sure some landscapes will approach the lens, if I'm patient....and hopefully tomorrow a longer walk...
