The Upper Lake at Glendalough

Dear Diary,

I had a beautiful walk around the upper lake. The scenery is amazing. At every turn there is something else to take my breath away. Here, as on Iona, there is the tradition of throwing a stone into the lake with the things you wish to rid yourself of. I, again, took advantage of it hoping my health improves. Only a week or so left of this journey and it has been a lovely experience despite the health set backs. People have been so wonderful and helpful...it has been very rewarding to know there are so many kind people in the world.
