A quiet paddle...

Dear Diary,

I enjoyed watching some ducks take a quiet paddle on a little pond and was transfixed by the reflections. I've been experimenting with some Orton-ish effects in my work and this one works especially well I think. It is a very painterly, impressionistic effect.

Photography is always seen as such a 'real' thing. Clarity, definition, and sharp focus is often most prized but there are ways to evoke a more romantic feel and this is something I've been looking for in my work lately. So much more to learn.

It's always good to try new things...
