In the garden

I missed those 2 little girls bursting thru the door looking for Nanna’s pancakes this morning- -but now we’re back to the other kind of wildlife.....

I like how this doe picked a colorful spot in my garden - the iris are real, the other flowers aren’t. The yard is full of native green stuff! You can see the back of the red haired girl who is in the herb garden. The deer pretty much leave the herbs (at least chives, oregano, sage, thyme, parsley and cilantro) alone, and they don’t like Iris or lavender, (or daffodils or tulips) but today I worked to make a sunny spot for a raised box to try to grow some lettuce so will have to figure out how to keep them from eating my salad. I’m a terrible gardener but for the sake of the planet, would love to grow a few things....and figure out how to water them when I’m not here....
