An Eggcellent Weekend

This was on a shelf in our weekend apartment and I took a photo of it because I was going to send it to Al – if he had been staying here he would have wanted to pinch the egg cups I think. I don’t know if the bird was part of the set or if it just happened to match. I reckon the latter, because you wouldn't exactly associate eggs for eating with this type of bird would you? I suspect Al would have also coveted the Shaker-style wooden bowl with love hearts that was in one of the cupboards. He did actually steal a pretty spoon from a pub in Balmaha this time last week. He's incorrigible really. Quite glad that he didn't come to Jamie's last Saturday – he would have been leaving with napkins and planks and mini milk bottles in every pocket.

Anyway, we didn't have eggs for breakfast today – instead I had cold pizza from last night. I do love a leftover main course first thing in the morning!
